This brief was based on the theme scape which I interoperated and progressed onto the idea of body scape.
I photographed a male model and began to look at the natural contours that the body is able to create with shadows.
Moving onto development I looked closely at continuous line and studied the shapes that are formed.
I decided to stay with a black and white colour palette as I didn't want the focus to be taken off the aspect of shape and began to look at the garment itself changing the form of the body like the work I've seen of Lucy Mcrae, where she pads out a body with bulges grass, I could use this technique for my final construction.
I focused on the technique stippling and made a final print taken which I developed from a machine stitched continuous line sample, the print itself is created entirely from small dots in the areas from the shadows and visible contours of a male models collar bones.
Taking sections from the print and transferring the shapes onto fashion illustrations has given me the form for the adornments.
