Project based on collection, I began to look at coral and how a collection of marine life forms into a reef. I then researched a type species of brain coral creating observational drawing, prints then finally developing a shape to put into a repeat pattern on CAD.
Filling the inside shape with a sample I created with a mixture of brusho and water colours showcasing complimentary colours which would be found on a reef.
I then began research into bubble coral and incorporated the shapes into a basic fashion illustration.
Construction began with a basic shirt design, shortened with an added collar, the circular neck adornment is stuffed with wadding and machine stitched to the neck with a zip fastening.
I then transferred my surface pattern print design onto the garment with photoshop as I wasn't able to access the digital printer before the end of the brief.

Fashion illustration sketch constructed into a paperbased adornment, developed further into a collection of garments to be worn and featured together, making sure the same aspect and shape is kept to show that even though the pieces themselves are unique that the style connects in some way or form.
Developing this further would begin with construction, finding a material which would hold It's shape, thin enough to be machine stitched and light enough to sit on the body comfortably, All these aspect need to be put into consideration.
